Clutter Fucker explores further the relationship between music and comics, this time moving more towards graphic scores in musical notation. Using memories of clutter and personal relationships to objects as the subject matter for the narrative the comic attempts to explore complex emotional relationships with experienced visual forms in childhood.
The project pulls together research from Wassily Kandinsky’s ‘Concerning the spiritual in art’, Henry Bergson’s ‘Matter and memory’, Félix Guattari and Gilles Deleuze’s ‘Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia’, Lynda Barry’s ‘Making Comics’, Jane Bennett’s ‘Vibrant Matter: a Political Ecology of Things’ and works from Daphne Oram, John Cage, Freidrich Cerha and Mark Applebaum.
