Weighing Machine is an audio-visual comic in collaboration with the band MEGALASHHH. The comic is thermally printed on 8 meters of till roll and corresponds to 6 minutes and 20 seconds of music. The audio and visual aspects of the comic are designed to synchronise, providing an emmersive experience for the reader, as you follow along; 21 cm roughly correlates to 10 seconds of music.

The comic and music, drawing from ‘The Sword in the Stone’ written by T. H. White and with traits inspired from Apollo and Dionysus in Greek mythology, chronicle the adventures of two unnamed characters through a series of challenges. In the narrative we see the two entities, represented as symbolic spherical shapes, embark on perilous journeys as they are tricked into believing that each could hold the power to unlock the sword from the stone. With their differences, they choose alternative paths to reach the sword and use contrasting survival techniques along the way.

Heavily laced with metaphor and continuous symbolisms hinting the semiotics of sounds, the comic is designed to bombard you with both abstracted and representational information.
